Introspective Care
Introspective care is a form of self-enquiry that deepens our understanding of ourselves.
While we're all capable of inner reflection, it can sometimes be helpful to engage a thought-partner—someone who offers a grounded, more objective view of our lived experience.

Coaching is a form of introspective care. There are many other forms of this kind of care. Each coach has a variety of packages and offerings. For a full coaching engagement, often times you agree to a six month commitment. During this time you will meet with your coach one on one for about 10 sessions, typically meeting every other week. During this time you and your coach will align on purpose and outcomes and your coach will design a program for you that includes self awareness activities, practices and resources to support you on the pathway.

Coaching is most helpful when you’ve hit a wall, feel stuck or are navigating a difficult transition. During these moments you are experiencing what we call an opening for coaching which means you are open to making adjustments in your life and have a clear goal you are striving for.

Coaching and therapy can feel similar in that both create a space for reflection, conversation, and personal insight. However, they serve different purposes. Therapists are trained to diagnose and treat mental health conditions and support people through psychological crises. Coaches are not trained for clinical care and do not provide mental health treatment.
Coaching is typically a shorter-term, goal-oriented partnership focused on helping you navigate a particular challenge or period of growth. Rather than providing answers, a coach helps you reconnect with your own insight, values, and inner wisdom so you can make meaningful changes in your day-to-day life.
While therapy often focuses on healing and understanding past experiences, coaching is generally oriented toward present awareness and future possibility—translating insight into practical shifts in how you live and act.

The average coaching package is about $250 per session, or $500 per month for a typical six-month engagement (about $3,000 total), though pricing can vary by coach. Many coaches also offer sliding scale options to make coaching more accessible.

Donate to increase access to introspective care.
Donations support both those who hold and those being held. We support new coaches in building their practice, educate people on the benefits of introspective care and cover the cost of care for low-income and incarcerated mothers.
